It was a bitter sweet victory for Walker who did his usual donut spin in turn one after taking the checker flag. A near capacity crowd encouraged Walker to do his victory lane back-flip and he did. Unfortunately, upon his landing, Walker twisted his knee, falling to the ground. Walker was transported to the hospital to have his knee undergo medical evaluated.

A field of thirty-two sprint cars turned out for the third race of the Pennsylvania 410 Sprint Speed Week Series. Jacks Carts and CnB Mushrooms posted a $200 cash bonus for fast time of the night and Daryn Pittman collected the extra cash. Four heat race events were presented with victories going to Tyler Walker, Chad Layton, Greg Hodnett and Lance Dewease as Mark Bitner won the “B” Main.

For the modifieds, a field of thirty-three took part in three heat race qualifiers with victories going to Ryan Godown, Keith Hoffman and Tom Umbenhauer as Ryan Grim won the modified consolation.

At feature time, twenty-four 410 sprints took the green flag with Danny Dietrich setting the early pace with Chad Layton and Lance Dewease in the chase. By lap eight, Dietrich, Layton and Dewease were in a three wide battle for the lead. One lap later, Layton was the pace setter followed by Dietrich and Dewease. By lap eleven, Dietrich along with Dewease were again pressuring Layton for the lead.

On lap twelve, Lance Dewease took the lead followed by Layton, Dietrich and charging Tyler Walker and Alan Krimes.

By lap eighteen, the race continued caution free with Dewease on point with Layton second, Krimes third, Walker fourth and Dietrich fifth. The red flag was displayed on lap twenty-two for Phil Walters who flipped on the backstretch. Walters was not injured in the crash.

On the restart, Dewease had a solid hold on the lead followed by Layton, Krimes, Walker and Dietrich. By lap twenty-four, Krimes moved into second with Layton and Walker in the hunt.

The second and final caution of the race was displayed on lap twenty-seven for Stevie Smith who stopped in turn two.

Everyone in the house knew the restart was going to be a thriller and as the green flag fell, Tyler Walker passed Chad Layton for third. Walker immediately went to battle Krimes. By lap twenty-nine, Walker was in second and closing on race leader Lance Dewease. On lap thirty-two, Walker challenged Dewease for the lead and one lap later, Dewease, Walker and Krimes were three abreast in chase of the lead. As the field passed for the white flag, Dewease was the leader with Walker second and Krimes third. With a strong run off of turn two on the final lap, Walker used the outside lane to make the pass for the lead. Dewease quickly re-grouped and attempted a strong fight to regain the top spot.

With the checker flag waiving, Walker took the win, his second career Thunder on the Hill Racing Series win and second consecutive victory at Grandview. Dewease earned a nod for a strong second place finish followed by Alan Krimes, Danny Dietrich and Chad Layton
