ANOTHER REICHERT WINS BIG DIAMOND RACEWAY 6/8 CYLINDER ENDURO
(Track Press Release by Gary Lileck) Forestville, PA – May 16, 2010 – Chris Reichert of Orwigsburg won Sunday’s 100-lap 6/8 Cylinder (Big Car) Enduro race at the Big Diamond Raceway. Chris defeated his brother Mike Reichert, who was victorious in the season’s first race back on April 18.

The NEETS enduro series and Tobias SpeedSTRs returned to Grandview Speedway on Mother’s Day. “Super” Mario Page scored his first feature victory in SpeedSTR competition and Tim Pauch made a dramatic last lap pass to win his second straight NEETS big car enduro race.

REICHERT, HOLLAND, AND KARPULK SCORE ENDURO VICTORIES SUNDAY AT BIG DIAMOND RACEWAY
(Track Press Release by Gary Lileck) Forestville, PA – April 18, 2010 – The Dan Drobnick Welding Enduro Series held its first race of the season Sunday at Big Diamond Raceway. Mike Reichert of New Ringgold picked up his fourth career 6/8 Cylinder 100-lap victory while second generation racer Chris Holland of Pine Grove won his second straight 4 Cylinder 100-lap enduro (dating back to the final race of last season – October 3). Shannon Karpulk of Pottsville won the 40-lap Ladies Race in her first ever appearance on the Big Diamond clay.

The unique combination of the Tobias SpeedSTR and NEETS enduro series hit the track on Sunday for the first of several such afternoons set for 2010 at Grandview Speedway. Kyle Hieber took the checkered flag in the SpeedSTR feature while a some familiar faces returned to victory lane during the enduro portion of the program.

The new decade of racing starts off right away with the Frostbite 4 enduro at the very cruelly named Sundance Vacations Speedway in the Pocono Mountains.

Since 2004, Sundance Vacations Speedway has hosted an enduro the first weekend in January, sometimes in very hazardous conditions. This Saturday will be the Frostbite 4.
Prior to the track’s own Mountain Madness events, the NEETS series sanctioned the New Year’s enduro starting with the Beaters with Heaters on January 3, 2004.
This bizarre event featured a big field of cars competing on a nasty, cold, rainy, and muddy afternoon in the Poconos. The sound system didn’t work, flop clock scoring was basically useless, and it was an unforgettable day.
The Beaters with Heaters was initially only available for sale on VHS tape, but we have just re-mastered onto DVD. Checkout the highlights.
