We had an aborted attempt to start our 2010 dirt track season on Sunday, but we’re back at it this weekend with a mega opening weekend at Big Diamond Raceway and Grandview Speedway.

On Friday, Big Diamond Raceway will start off with perhaps the biggest opening night ever, kicked off by Sunday’s held-over 40-lap $4,000 to win Big Block Modified feature. A complete program of the weekly 358 modifieds, sportsman, and roadrunners will then follow. This will mark the official start of the 2010 point season.

The 358 modified field will likely look quite a bit different than normal on Friday, as several out-of-state big block teams plan to return with an additional small-block car to compete with the Pennsylvania modifieds.

The following night Grandview kicks off with the NASCAR-sanctioned 358 modifieds and late models in the 49th annual season opener.

Our DVDs will once again be on sale at the novelty stand at both tracks, with a special discount price on the 2009 season in review DVDs. Come out and see some of the great racing action live this weekend.

Weather permitting, the 2010 dirt track racing season begins for GSP Video this Sunday at the Big Diamond Raceway for a special Big Block Modified and ARDC Midget doubleheader.

Starting with this event and for the remainder of the year, we plan on using YouTube to host the majority of our weekly race highlights. There’s been pros and cons while considering this over the past couple years, but these are the major benefits:

- Ability to view videos on more than just a computer. Many new mobile devices, set-top players, and TVs now support viewing of YouTube videos. Particularly, this makes GSPVIDEO.com content compatible with the iPhone. Continue→

Our 2010 dirt track racing season is less than a month away, but the mall show circuit is still going strong. GSP Video will be at the Coventry Mall Car Show, just minutes from Grandview Speedway, Friday through Sunday March 4-7th.

From there we cross over the state-line to New Jersey, for the 3rd annual IRCO Dirt Track Heroes Car Show at the Phillipsburg Mall. We’ll be selling videos for six days of the week-long event, starting on Monday, March 8th through Saturday, March 13. For more information on this show visit Brett Deyo Motorsports Media.

These are the last two opportunities to take advantage of the great winter deals offered by GSP Video at the various off-track events.

Just in time for the start of the 2009 weekly racing season, I’d like to welcome you to our new website.

This has taken quite a while to put together and it may take some adjusting to, but this new platform is ultimately to make things more efficient and a lot quicker to get new content up and running.

The online store will receive a total overhaul later this year. Right now it is the only part of the site that has not been changed.

The archived video clips from prior years are not on the new site, but can still be accessed by going here. Many of these clips will be re-introduced over time as “flashbacks” (in addition to other older videos we never had on the web).

If you encounter any bugs or have any comments, please contact me and explain with some detail.

Thank You,
Gary Silverman
