VONDOHREN GETS A GIFT WITH NASCAR 358 MODIFIED WIN AND KLINE WINS LATE MODEL FEATURE AT GRANDVIEW SPEEDWAY

He was fast. The 53 spun him around. It was a good call by officials to put the 53 back. I got a gift here tonight. We have not been good here this season.”

And he even made sure his two-year-old daughter Brooke was there with him for all the victory lane photos.

And Kevin Hirthler was more lucky than good as he was able to take over the number one spot when leader Duane Howard went to the pits with a flat tire on the 23rd lap and then lead the rest of the way to claim his first NASCAR 358 Modified feature win of the season.
(Track Press Release) BECHTELSVILLE, PA – Veteran NASCAR 358 Modified racer Doug Manmiller won the 30-lap NASCAR Whelen All American Series 358 Modified feature race at Grandview Speedway on Saturday night. The win was the first at Grandview for the Shoemakersville, PA racer since July 8, 2006. In the 20-lap feature for the NASCAR Late Models Chuck Schutz survived the caution marred event to win his third of the season.

However Missimer had six time champion Craig VonDohren looking to steal his pay check and as the duo came off the fourth turn, with one lap to go, VonDohren put his Felty Farms No. 1c in front and set the pace the rest of the way to get his first Grandview feature win of the season and saved young Missimer a trip to the bank.
