MIKE GULAR CHANGES HIS LUCK AT GRANDVIEW, CHUCK SCHUTZ GETS HIS SECOND WIN OF THE SEASON

Mike Gular had nothing but bad luck on Friday when his hauler broke down on the way to the races, his finger was seriously injured when a crew member hit it with a hammer and he finished last in the feature race. Then on Saturday night at Grandview Speedway Gular saw his luck change for the better, much better, as he drove the Eastern Rigging No. 53 to victory in the 30-lap NASCAR Whelen 358 Modified feature race holding off the bold challenges from point leader and defending champion Duane Howard.

(Track Press Release) BECHTELSVILLE, PA – Defending NASCAR Whelen 358 Modified champion Duane Howard showed that he is very serious about winning a second straight title at Grandview Speedway as he won the 30-lap Bechtelsville Car Wash NASCAR 358 Modified feature race on Saturday night giving him three wins out of four features run so far this season. In the 20-lap feature for the Late Models Ron Kline was able to earn his first feature win of the 2011 season.
(Track Press Release) BECHTELSVILLE, PA – For the first time since 2009 Jeff Strunk was able to win a feature race at Grandview Speedway when he wheeled the Norm Hansell owned Norm’s Save Station #357 to victory Saturday night in the 30-lap NASCAR Whelen All American Series 358 Modified feature race picking up $2,500 for his winning efforts. The 20-lap NASCAR Late Model feature was won by Randy Stoudt his 55th career Late Model victory at the Bechtelsville one-third-mile, banked clay oval.
(Track Press Release) BECHTELSVILLE, PA – Giving high praise to his crew chief Alan Finch and the rest of the crew Duane Howard celebrated his big win in the $4,000 to win NASCAR Whelen All American Series 40-lap 358 Modified feature race on Saturday night at Grandview Speedway. The win was the second in a row for the defending 358 Modified champion. In the companion 20-lap feature for the NASCAR Late Models Danny Snyder charged under Randy Stoudt in the fourth turn of the final lap to grab the $800 victory.
(Track Press Release) BECHTELSVILLE, PA – Defending NASCAR 358 Modified champion Duane Howard showed that he is serious about defending his title as he drove the Chad Sinon owned BPG Racing No. 4 entry to victory in the 30-lap opening night feature race for NASCAR 358 Modifieds at Grandview Speedway on Saturday night. Chuck Schutz was able to bring his BPG Racing sponsored No. 1 to victory lane in the 20-lap Late Model feature race.
(Track Press Release) BECHTELSVILLE, PA – A Strunk was in victory lane at Grandview Speedway on Saturday night and it was not eight time NASCAR Whelen Series champion Jeff Strunk. The win in the 30-lap feature for Open Competition Modifieds went to Glenn Strunk, Jeff’s younger brother. Mike Kellner ran away and hid from the rest of the field in the 20-lap Open Competition Late Model feature.
