New Jersey’s Ryan Godown Earns Second $10,000 Coalcracker 100 Victory Sunday At Big Diamond Speedway Driving Johnny Rea’s No. R1; Jeremy Becker Roadrunner Victor

MINERSVILLE, PA – Ryan Godown is a repeat Coalcracker 100 winner.

Godown, 35, of Ringoes, N.J., recorded his second victory in the most prestigious event of the season at Big Diamond Speedway Sunday evening. Godown drove the Johnny Rea Motorsports No. R1 to a $10,000 payday, backing up his 2009 victory in the event at the Schuylkill County track. Jeremy Becker, meanwhile, won the accompanying 20-lap Wooden Keg Tavern Roadrunner feature.

(Track Press Release) MINERSVILLE, PA – For the first time since April, Rick Laubach returned to Victory Lane at Big Diamond Speedway.

With a season-high 34 The Station House 358-Modifieds on hand, Laubach drove the Bert Jones/Gary and Lori Herrmann-owned Beer City No. 7 to his second victory of the 2011 season at the Schuylkill County oval. The Quakertown, Pa., driver remains in the championship fight entering next Friday’s (Sept. 2) Season Championship Night at Big D. Unofficially, he trails current leader Jeff Strunk by just 41 points.

(Track Press Release) MINERSVILLE, PA – Mike Gular ‘sailed’ to his first career The Station House 358-Modified victory on Friday night at Big Diamond Speedway.

The Green Lane, Pa., driver earned $2,000 in the 25-lap main event for the small-block Modifieds, outfitted with sail panels for the first time in the history of the Schuylkill County oval. A former two-time Penn Can (Pa.) Speedway champion, Gular is a first-year Big Diamond regular driving the Terry Fasnacht/Ed Nowotarski No. 53. Gular became the 10th different 358-Modified winner this season at Big Diamond.
